But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23

I saw a pastor speaking on this the other day and he made the point "the fruit is not for the tree".

I liked the new perspective on this verse.

We work together with the Holy Spirit to produce fruit – for others to enjoy.

So that we can be of service to those around us in an exceptional way.

It’s not about us.

It’s about others.
