Prince’s passing is another reminder to celebrate and embrace what life we are given.
Seize the day.
Celebrate and be thankful for all you have been given.
And go a little crazy.
Make it a great day.

A man must not deny his manifest abilities, for that is to evade his obligations. – William Feather
We were all born with abilities and talents.
We have all developed many skills and have the opportunity to continue our growth.
We are obligated to do the best we can with all of it.
We have a duty to everyone else and ourselves to make the most out of what were given. Anything else is wasteful.
Make it a great day.

Nothing deep and thoughtful on this one, just a little giggle.
Make it a great day.

Seize life! Eat bread with gusto, Drink wine with a robust heart. Oh yes—God takes pleasure in your pleasure! Dress festively every morning. Don’t skimp on colors and scarves. Relish life with the spouse you love Each and every day of your precarious life. Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange For the hard work of staying alive. Make the most of each one! Whatever turns up, grab it and do it. And heartily! This is your last and only chance at it, For there’s neither work to do nor thoughts to think In the company of the dead, where you’re most certainly headed.
Ecclesiastes 9:7-10 MSG
Get after it.
Whatever you have going today, do it with all you got.
Make the most of your day.
Make it a great day.

We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone. – Ronald Reagan
I really like quotes like this that break things down to a simple level.
In the midst of an election year and all of the grandiose and troublesome opportunities and problems facing our country and our world, if we could find a way to focus on helping someone, things would really begin to change.
We can all help someone.
And most of the people I know (this probably applies to you if you are reading this) have all kinds of opportunities to help more than one someone.
We can all help out by giving some money.
We can all help out by holding a door for someone.
We can all help someone.
Who are you going to help today?
Make it a great day.

What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly. – Richard Bach
Sometimes I wonder if God came up with the caterpillar-butterfly thing just to teach us all some good life lessons.
Letting go of our old self is maybe the hardest part of change.
We kinda like our old self.
Our old self is comfortable and predictable.
But letting our old self go is required in order to change.
We can’t get to the other side without letting go of it.
What are you holding on to?
What are you capable of growing into?
Make it a great day.

I figured I would send this one out in honor of Erik’s birthday today.
Birthdays are great reminders to slow down and celebrate a little.
It’s far too easy to just move through life, jumping from one mountain to climb to the next, without taking the time to celebrate the victories along the way.
Find something to celebrate this weekend.
Make a toast.
Sing a song.
Celebrate.
Make it a great day.

“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” – Jimmy Dean
Since Jake is out, I have been given the great pleasure of writing today’s daily attitude email.
This quote reminds me that business trends and markets are forever changing. With that, we must continue to change our sails and strategies to reach the destination of our choosing.
Whether our destination is growing our client base or just being the absolute best in our industry, we have the opportunity to arrive safely at the destination.
Know your destination and get to it!
Safe travels to Jake and Erik and may your day be filled with the unique smell of unicorns and gummy bears!
Left side hug,
Drew
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. – Maya Angelou
What a great reminder of our two fundamental choices when we aren’t happy with something in our lives.
It takes a pretty mature person to think about it this way. I’ll admit that I fall short of this standard.
But maybe we can all make progress by thinking of something we would like to see change in our lives.
Just pick one thing and apply the quote above.
Either change it or change your attitude.
Make it a great day.

EB* – Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song. Pope John Paul II
JD – The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled. – Plutarch
JW – Private Warmbir! You’re ate up like a soup sandwich! – Drill Sergeant Acosta
MS – Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. – 1 Corinthians 13:4
JR – Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose. – Bill Gates
A few of the inspiring quotes lately have been from Mr. Warmbir about his time in the Army.
We all have a good chuckle and smile as he tells us about a silly time or joke that was made.
But I never forget that his service was serious business.
He signed up for the real deal. Signed up to volunteer his time and efforts (and maybe his life) to make this country safer and better than it would have been otherwise.
And so are the troops that are currently enlisted.
I am thankful for all of them and especially for my friend, Mr. Warmbir.
Thank you to all you who have served.
Make it a great day.
