Today’s is Maggie’s 6th birthday.

Hard to believe as it still seems like just yesterday it was a cool July day just like today and we were driving Maggie home from the hospital for the first time.

Having kids and watching them grow is nothing short of a miracle. CS Lewis said that “miracles are the retelling in small letters of the very same story which is written across the whole world in letters too large for some of us to see.”

As I pour myself into being a dad for our two girls I am reminded of the small part I am playing in this larger cycle of life.

Playing the role of the father to two little miracles that will grow up to become the person that only they are capable of becoming.

Wow. That’s all I can say….wow.
