You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you. – Dale Carnegie

Saw this quote on the FaceBox and thought it would be a good follow up to yesterday’s post.

Too many spend the holiday season feeling lonely and dejected. For many, this is the saddest time of the year.

As you interact with others, show interest in them. Ask questions. Acknowledge them.

Make it a great day.

  1. Today’s Daily Attitude is timely! I’m away from home this holiday season, staying in St. Louis area with my son, who is going through treatment for Grade 4 brain cancer. It truly does make a difference when we take the focus off of us & our situation, take the time to notice those around us, and smile at a stranger! A random compliment – observation followed by an encouraging word to a parent of toddlers who is trying to grocery shop… seeking out(ward) instead of looking in(ward) makes all the difference in OUR daily attitude!

    1. Gloria,

Sorry I just noticed this comment on the blog.

I hope everything went/is going well with your son. I have no idea if there is anything I can do to help or not, but let me know if there is.

      Jake
