Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little. – Edmund Burke
This reminds me of the idea from Andy Stanley who says something like “do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.”
Wish you could help the poor – help just one person today.
Wish you could help children – volunteer to help a kid today.
Wish you could solve world hunger – feed somebody.
Wish there was more peace – let something go today.
We live in a time and place of comfort, of ease, and it requires thought and discipline to actively pursue a different path than selfishness and greed.
Be thoughtful and kind today. Do something meaningful for another person today. It doesn’t have to be huge – just meaningful.
Make it a great day.
