One of my favorite things about Easter each year is that it is a reminder of something really important – in the end, over the long term – the good guys win!

God is love.

He has defeated evil.

Love wins out. Evil and darkness lose.

It’s easy to lose sight of this and focus on the temporary setbacks.

It’s easy to fixate on all of our (and our neighbor’s) shortcomings. Life isn’t easy. Happenings don’t always go our way. We are well trained to think more about the losses than the victories.

But on the giant scoreboard of “all time” the good guys have already won.

Don’t let yourself forget this important fact.
